Each year the RRPAA Board of Directors (BOD) offers two
scholarships to PA students currently attending the Physician
Assistant Program at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
Scholarships for $1000 each are awarded to one third year
PA student and one fourth year PA student.
To qualify, the applicant must be a Physician Assistant
student in good standing at RIT and expected to enter their
third year or fourth year of training in the upcoming Fall.
A request for applicants is issued to the Program Director
of the RIT PA Program in the summer, and the scholarships
are awarded by check at the RRPAA Annual General Membership
Meeting (usually in September).
The winner is chosen by the BOD based on a combination of
Scholastic Achievement (GPA), review of personal statement
and references, and need. The applicant with the highest
GPA is not necessarily the winner each year.
