Mission Statement:
The purpose of the Rochester Regional
Physician Assistant Association is:
* To promote the professional development of Physician Assistants
practicing in the Rochester region.
* To assist members by sponsoring Continuing Medical Education
opportunities.
* To provide members with information on local, state, and national
issues that affect the Physician Assistant
profession and the healthcare field.
* To promote healthcare and education in the Rochester community.
Bylaws:
A complete set of our by-laws are on file with the Board
of Directors. In September 2007 the new bylaws were approved and
adopted by the Board of Directors. To view the updated bylaws,
click here. Summary
of Our Organizational Structure:
We are a not-for-profit corporation under IRS section 501(c)(3)
organized exclusively for the charitable, educational, religious,
or scientific purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3).
Specifically, the corporation uses our 501(c)(3) status to work
for the welfare of the Physician Assistants in Rochester and the
Finger Lakes region by offering assistance, guidance and educational
opportunities to and for the benefit of Physician Assistants.
The corporation is managed by a Board of Directors (BOD) selected
by a majority vote of its members. The BOD meets at least quarterly,
and with a quorum of the Board, votes on all related activities
of the corporation. |
